New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is seeking a Control System Lead/ Automation Engineer resource for a full time position with our client.
Compensation: $47.20 per hour + $2 per hour night shift differential if on night shift.
As a Control System Lead/ Automation Engineer, you will lead service technicians on the team while maintaining, troubleshooting, and modifying Material Handling (MHE) control systems equipment to ensure operational performance.
- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
- Maintain and troubleshoot all VFDs, Motors/Wiring configurations, PLCs, Computers, Electrical Schematics, Control Circuits, and Preventive / Predictive maintenance
- Perform PLC Control level issue diagnosis and maintenance (Allen Bradley)
- Utilize SCADA systems and KPI's to maintain efficiency
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, etc.
- Collaborate and build relationships with all levels in the organization
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or equivalent OR 2+ years of equivalent professional experience.
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- 2+ years of experience with robotics work cells and its control systems
- 3+ years of experience with Ladder Logic and structure programming from Siemens, Allen-Brady, or Codesys PLCs
- 3+ years of experience with PLC-controlled automation and issue diagnosis in a continuous process or production environment.
- Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English
- Ability to interpret and understand policies and procedures and relate them to others.
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders (Operations, Safety, etc.) to coordinate complex maintenance activities
- 2+ years of experience identifying, maintaining, troubleshooting, programming, and designing HMI and control network components
- 2+ years of experience identifying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and modifying Motor Controls including motor starters, Variable Frequency Drives, DC drives, and standard electrical components
- 2+ years of experience of industrial electrical hands-on experience and troubleshooting, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24VDC systems
- 2+ years of experience interpreting, modifying, and developing mechanical and electrical drawings
- 2+ years of experience identifying, maintaining, and utilizing SCADA systems and KPIs
- 2+ years of experience with programming software such as RSLogix5000 studio, FT View, and other controls software platforms
- 2+ years of experience supporting a wide range of different conveyors and sortation systems.
