POSITION SUMMARY:

Builds, positions, and dismantles wooden or metal structures, such as concrete forms, scaffolds, tunnel and various supports, and temporary frame shelters, according to sketches, blueprints, or company standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Read and interpret measuring tools such as, tape measure, speed square, framing square...etc. In order to perform task accurately.

* Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams in order to perform tasks accurately.

* Installing insulation materials on pipes or vessels requiring lifting and placing blocks or sections of insulation.

* Installing scaffold components in place with rods, planks, boards, clamps, etc. requiring physical labor

* Elevated work up to 200' includes working in a pipe rack which will require balance, restricted movement due to safety tie-offs, and additional effort to move about.

* On a continual basis, promotes an awareness of environmental, health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment and ensures compliance with all accompany policies

* Attends safety meetings and specialty training as directed by management

* Attends various training classes as may be assigned by management

* Perform related duties and responsibilities as required

* Ability to take needed safety precautions in performing the work

* Knowledge of basic rigging safety practices.

* Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

* Five (5) years of experience in work involving a variety of layout, installation, and maintenance tasks

* Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent

* Possess valid drivers' license with a good driving record

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

* Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.

* When on-site, actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors.

* Add and subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10's and 100's and ability to perform these operations using units weight measurement and volume

* Common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form

* Ability to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standards

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

* Manual and finger dexterity

* Eye-hand coordination

* Depth perception

* Ability to see things clearly that are beyond arm's reach (far visual acuity)

* Ability to see small detail

* Ability to lift and carry up to 85 pounds

* Ability to climb 30-foot ladders without resting

* Ability to work at heights up to 150'+

* Ability to maintain balance on catwalks and narrow work spaces

* Ability to stand for long periods of time

* Ability to reach above head while sitting or standing

* Ability to reach below knees while standing

* Ability to stoop or kneel

* Ability to work 50 or more hours each week

HOURS:

This position is a Full-Time position scheduled to work typically 50 hours per week. Schedule is subject to projects requirements.

TRAVEL:

Travel required up to 90%. Position requires presence directly on the Project Site location with intermittent travel to residence of record.
