JOB DESCRIPTION: The Network Business Strategy Analyst is an enterprise-level contributor within the University of Vermont Health Network (UVMHN) providing high-level research, evaluation and analysis of business development and capital investment opportunities as well as regional volume and demand forecasting. This role requires advanced acumen in business administration and financial modeling, as well as health care data analytics and a working knowledge of healthcare policy, reimbursement structures, and an understanding of the healthcare environment regionally. Working with clinical and administrative executives and senior leaders, Facilities, IT, Finance and others, he/she leads business planning activities for major projects leading to certificate of need applications. Additionally, the Business Strategy Analyst is responsible for sophisticated analyses supporting strategic planning as well as analyses of new opportunities including how to share services regionally. The consultant also contributes to capital and long-range facility planning and monitors progress on the health network's strategic plan. EDUCATION: Master's degree or equivalent required in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Statistics, Accounting, or related field. EXPERIENCE: Five to seven years of progressive, successful experience in complex healthcare analyses, strategic planning, business planning, facilities and/or operational planning including sophisticated financial modeling; budgeting and forecasting. |
