Description

The Administrative Operations Supervisor will directly support the Perioperative Nursing Director with: managing expense requests from all areas of Perioperative Services including PO generation; acting liaison with Asset Manager for capital purchases processing (quotes, justifications). The Administrative Operations Supervisor will work with department leadership as a resource to daily inquiries for information on department operations and policies; capital inventory documentation and allocation between departments and across Operative Services. The Administrative Operations Supervisor Incumbent will provide administrative and special project support to the Santa Monica Perioperative Nursing Director, including but not limited to meeting presentations and action plans. Incumbent will support and manage action plans created by the department leadership Incumbent will routinely review weekly metrics and report out data to department leaders to support alignment between action plans and department goals. The Administrative Operations Supervisor will be the direct supervisor for Perioperative Services Administrative Staff. Incumbent will have skills, knowledge and abilities for new hire onboarding, requesting accesses for department staff, submission of HR elements for change in title, separations, and all other PAR. Incumbent will be able to support leadership with employee and labor relations work.

Qualifications
Required:
  • Two or more years years of perioperative work experience
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively within frequently shifting workload
  • Ability to work with core leaders and senior management
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to oversee staff, delegate responsibilities, provide training, provide oversight to daily activities, and participate in evaluation of performance standards
  • Possesses working knowledge and ability to operate a PC System, utilizing Windows program and Excel
  • Skilled in data gathering and statistical analysis reports
  • Able to work independently
  • Adapts to change in workload. Conducts personal business on break or lunch time
  • Maintains a positive attitude and behavior: efficient and productive with time utilization. Strives to be a team
Preferred:
  • Degree in Healthcare Administration or Business
  • Lead or Supervisor experience
  • Five or more years of Health Care experience
