Key Position Details:

  • Full time position
  • Hybrid position with approximately 80% remote
  • Travel may be required on a minimal basis (currently no-travel required)
  • Periodic weekend and evening work to meet with potential donors

Job Description:

Responsible for managing the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship for a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects. Consistently delivers revenue needed for organizational priorities. Protects the mission, goals, and values of the organization. Builds trusting relationships with prospects and connects benefactors with organizational need. Represents single or multiple priorities of Allina Health and directly interfaces with a system-wide team of MGOs. Has established knowledge of gift planning concepts and methods. Maintains a network of allied professionals and agents of wealth.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Donor engagement and solicitation
    • Identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors with gift capacity of $50,000+ including targeted plans for each assigned prospect;
    • Effectively manages a portfolio of individual benefactors and prospects capable of giving up to $1,000,000+;
    • Develops and implements a strategic plan of action with objectives, timelines and evaluation plans for portfolio;
    • Meets or exceeds AHS's metrics related to performance, including numbers of visits, proposals, etc.; and
    • Meets or exceeds revenue goals.
  • Philanthropy priority execution
    • Ensures gift solicitations and strategies align with the goals and objectives of Allina Health.
    • Collaborating with Prospect Development, plans strategies to build pipeline for MGO prospects, working with the philanthropy team to maximize development of major gifts to Allina Health; and
    • Works independently while also providing guidance to other team members.
  • Non fundraising administrative functions
    • Collaborates in the development of annual fundraising projections and estimation of expenses for the Office of Philanthropy budget;
    • Assist in the preparation of solicitation materials in collaboration with other departments for individuals, corporations, and foundations for annual support; and
    • Serves as a member of the Allina Health Foundation Major & Planned Giving team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, fundraising or related degree
  • 5+ years fundraising experience with a proven track record raising major and planned gifts, and/or complex gift arrangements
  • 5+ major gifts experience with a successful track record of growing related revenue, responsibility working on campaigns, and experience working with senior leadership and leadership volunteers
  • 5+ years experience representing an organization in one-on-one visits with benefactors and prospects. Record of professional integrity and successful problem-solving, while juggle multiple stakeholder interests

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business, fundraising or related degree

Licenses/Certifications

  • Certified Fund Raising Executive preferred

Pay Range

Pay Range: $49.10 to $67.93 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
