About the Role

As a Material Handler Forklift Driver at AESC, you will be an integral part of the Supply Chain (Logistics) team. Your primary responsibility is to operate various types of forklifts, ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and shipping of materials within our warehouse. You will play a key role in supporting both production and research and development (R&D) by managing the flow of materials across various building locations. This role demands accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards as you collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations and on-time deliveries.

What You Will Do
  • Verify the accuracy of quantity and quality for all incoming deliveries.
  • Label products and place them in designated storage areas within the warehouse.
  • Identify and locate products during the delivery and shipping process.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of stock and inventory.
  • Handle returns, including completing necessary technical documentation and communicating with relevant parties.
  • Conduct regular maintenance on material handling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Communicate purchasing requirements and monitor the availability of products in short supply.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues related tmissing packages, incorrect deliveries, and damaged products.
  • Move materials between R&D, production areas, and various building locations.
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications
What You Need
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience:
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification.
    1. years material handling experience, including loading, unloading, and organizing materials within a high-volume production environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay on task with limited supervision and maintain accuracy in material handling and inventory management.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and handling material movement equipment.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control practices.
  • Other Skills:
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail in managing inventory and verifying shipments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining safety and productivity.
  • Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards. (training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)
  • Understands and follows all standards of ISO14001 environmental standards. (training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)
  • No travel required.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor and is characterized by some temperature extremes, moderate noise, and forklift traffic. The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers and suppliers.
