What is the opportunity?
Business Manager supporting Global Equities business, primarily Delta One / Equity Financing. The Business Manager has responsibility for driving the effectiveness of the Business objectives and functional operating model by partnering with functional resources including Operations, Technology, Finance, Risk, Legal, Human Resources and Compliance. The Business Manager is responsible for providing analysis, collaborating and managing the delivery of innovative and high quality solutions to address business needs. This includes taking a proactive approach to ensure all control requirements are monitored, adhered to and optimised.
What will you do? - Support primarily the Equity Delta One business
- Responsible for providing analysis, collaborating and managing the delivery of innovative and high quality solutions to address business needs.
- Central liaison between Front Office and functional partners including Technology, Finance, Operations, Credit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit and Human Resources
- Optimize operational effectiveness, infrastructure, regulatory readiness, risk management and the control environment and identify areas to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the region / business lines
- Operate within a prudent balance of strong governance and process whilst delivering an agile and dynamic execution capability
- Work in close coordination with Product & Sales Business Managers and Business Heads on tactical and strategic projects including but not limited to product development, set-up implementation, expense management, financial planning, trading and sales ad hoc project work
- Drive consensus on the articulation, direction and delivery of initiatives whilst anticipating prudent contingencies and mitigating risks
- Delegated decision making business representative
What do you need to succeed? - Experience as a Business Manager, Product Manager, Trader, Sales or Structuring
- Experience in Equity Financing
- 10+ years experience in a Capital Markets environment with knowledge and experience of Equities
- Strong familiarity with and understanding of key requirements and environment to build and support a trading and sales business
- Self-motivated, confident, flexible and resilient
- Very good interpersonal skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and data analysis

The expected salary for this particular position is $300,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs. You have the potential to earn more through RBC's discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
