Laboratory Technician

Yoh Scientific is actively recruiting for a Lab Technician to work a contract to potential perm assignment in Union Beach, NJ.

Duration of assignment:
6 months, but possibility to go perm based on customer's needs and workers performance.
Work Schedule:
Full-Time, Mon-Fri. Some weekend and/or overtime may be required.
Pay Rate Range:$25 - $29.45/hour, based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct laboratory bench research including sample preparation and testing using chromatography.
  
  
• Perform basic method development in GC.
  
  
• Primary activities include execution of technical work under general supervision of senior technical staff.
  
  
• Ability to develop technical approaches and plans, solve appropriate technical problems and work independently is also expected.
  
  
• Required the development of a detailed understanding of chromatographic theory.
  
  

Requirements:

• BS in Chemistry with 1-5 years of industry experience, or fresh MS in Chemistry.
  
  
• Knowledge of Agilent OpenLAB and ChemStation GC software preferred.
  
  
• Must have time management for assignments and be able to multi-task.
  
  
• Must have safe laboratory practices.
