JOB DESCRIPTION: The clinical research coordinator III coordinates and implements vital clinical and non-clinical tasks to the successful completion of multiple and complex protocols consistent with knowledge and experience. A successful clinical research coordinator III requires specialized knowledge and skills that are acquired through experience and/or education. This position should be extramurally funded therefore continued employment is largely dependent on the availability of funds in addition to satisfactory performance. The position can work independently while maintaining good communication with the Principal Investigator and other research staff. This position may direct and train other research staff. The CRC III functions as an essential member and leader of a multidisciplinary team within a specific dept/division. Is an experienced research coordinator who is the subject matter expert and resource within the dept/division/organization. The CRC III demonstrates leadership skills through mentoring and providing educational programs for other research staff. Works in collaboration with the practice supervisor, nursing supervisor or director to provide research coordination and leadership to a specific dept/division. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required or Assoc degree plus the equivalent number of years of relevant experience. Certification in specialty research area required (e.g., ACRP or SOCRA). EXPERIENCE: Certification in specialty research area and 3+ years of experience as a research coordinator in that specialty area. |
