The Distribution SCADA Engineer will be responsible for the SCADA database and SCADA modeling activities in the ADMS and/or SCADA systems, either as part of overall project delivery or as part of the ongoing maintenance and day to day support of the system. This position will ensure data integrity, system updates, troubleshooting, and seamless integration between DSCADA and

EMS/ADMS platforms. **This role can sit in most locations across the US.**

The Distribution SCADA Engineer must be knowledgeable and customer-oriented within the operational technology domain and should possess technical expertise on SCADA applications, DMS, and RTU commissioning, and data mapping, with a strong focus on system reliability, operational support, and continuous improvement.


Responsibilities

  • Perform weekly ADMS updates and ensure DSCADA system integrity
  • Monitor and troubleshoot DSCADA system performance, including real-time data flow and alarms
  • Maintain and update SCADA displays, point mapping, and configurations
  • Conduct database maintenance, including historical data management and validation
  • Support RTU commissioning, including configuration, testing, and field validation
  • Manage topology changes and data mapping for DSCADA-ADMS integration
  • Ensure seamless communication between DSCADA, EMS, and ADMS environments
  • Configure and support protocol conversions, network communication, and system migrations
  • Develop and maintain test scripts and process documentation for system updates and validation
  • Provide technical assistance to control center operators and field
  • Work closely with IT teams, system vendors, and engineering teams to resolve issues and implement improvements
  • Participate in project planning and implementation for system enhancements and upgrades
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and operational best practices

Qualifications

  • Experience with DSCADA, ADMS, and EMS platforms
  • Proficiency in SCADA protocols (DNP3, ICCP, Modbus, )
  • Experience with Network Manager Applications PSE, WS500 and PED
  • Network Manager ARTC/SPL programming experience
  • Familiarity with RTU configuration, commissioning, and
  • Strong knowledge of SCADA database management and system
  • Experience with display development, real-time monitoring, and alarm
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical
  • Strong communication and collaboration
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple
  • Detail-oriented approach with a focus on system reliability and

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $88,067.00 - USD $174,866.00 /Yr.
