Pay: $24.00/hr - $26.00/hr 1st Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Requirements: The ideal candidate will possess an Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience) and have proven experience as an Accounting Assistant or in a similar role. Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Microsoft Dynamics is essential, along with a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software. Job Duties: As an Accounting Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining financial records ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Daily duties include promptly processing invoices, purchase orders, and payment transactions and reconciling accounts payable and receivable to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies resolved. You'll prepare and maintain balance sheets, income statements, and other essential financial reports and assist with payroll processing by verifying timesheets and ensuring accurate deductions. Supporting month-end and year-end closing procedures, you will prepare journal entries and account reconciliations while assisting with tax preparation, audits, and other financial activities as needed.
