As a Capability Deployment Lead, you will drive strategic growth and transformation within our contact center operations. Your work will enhance interactions between frontline employees and customers, ensuring seamless and efficient experiences. You will lead the design and implementation of new business capabilities, manage change, and ensure readiness. From project inception to completion, you will develop and execute roll-out plans, monitor performance metrics, and ensure targets are met. This role requires excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management. It is critical that the individual in this role brings curiosity, growth mindset, and personal accountability to the work each day, showing up as flexible and productive in the face of change or obstacles. The successful candidate can build trust and rapport with individuals as they work and is passionate about driving plans into action.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Build Trust and Momentum: Establish trust, confidence, and respect with stakeholders to drive strategic goals
  • Initiative Planning: Plan and drive initiatives for new or expanding business, focusing on timelines, requirements, and communication
  • Attention to Detail: Own the details and nuances of each assignment by understanding business operations and strategic direction
  • Visual Communication: Guide strategies and plans through strong visual communication and storytelling, using materials from the Operational Design & Growth playbook
  • Risk Monitoring and Management: Monitor upstream activities for potential risks or communication gaps, ensuring seamless integration of new initiatives. Develop, communicate, and implement project risk/issue management plans and strategies
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Business Analysts to contribute to designs, solutions, and execution
  • Transition Management: Ensure seamless transition from project implementation to business operations
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and report progress throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring project schedules and requirements are met
  • Knowledge Management: Create, update, and preserve team knowledge tools to support the development and success of implementation teamwork

Required Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of leadership experience including leading operations and/or business process improvement initiatives, integrating the voice of internal and external constituents
  • 2+ years of health care industry experience
  • 2+ years project management experience owning work from initiation to closure
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 5% of the time



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Six sigma or PMP certification
  • 3+ years of experience working with care delivery systems (medical groups, hospital systems)
  • Experience with project management tools
  • Solid experience within a contact center setting
  • Proven client or account management
  • Proven solid leadership skills with proven ability to foster and manage senior-level relationships in a highly matrixed environment
  • Proven high emotional intelligence
  • Proven superior customer/consultant relationship management and collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to drive a cross-functional team that produces value
  • Proven ability to influence with and without direct management/authority

  • Networking: Build relationships and leverage a network of internal and external experts to enhance innovation and performance
  • Problem Solving: Remove obstacles and manage remediation of business problems impacting product delivery, customer satisfaction, and quality
  • Stakeholder Influence: Inform and influence key stakeholders on significant business or client risks, even when others are responsible for the outcome
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Manage cross-functional communications across Optum stakeholders as new solutions are identified and implemented
  • Value Roadmaps: Identify and build value roadmaps in collaboration with senior leaders
  • Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis to guide strategies and plans

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
