Casual, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Variable days and on-call weekends.

Job Summary

Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality, direct patient care. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and

communicates observations to members of the health care team.

Essential Functions
  • Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse, consistent with policies and procedures of the unit.
  • Responsible for direct day-to-day care of assigned residents/patients including dressing, bathing, transporting and feeding.
  • Documents care provided as directed in a manner consistent with guidelines.
  • Maintains patients' environment/work area/equipment and communicates any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department/unit personnel.
  • Complete and maintain required number of CNA educational hours.
  • Participation in select unit quality monitoring activities under the direction of the Unit Manager or Nurse Leader.
Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • State of Michigan approved CNA Training Course
  • Driver's License within the State of Michigan
  • PROMETRIC Certified Nursing Assistant required within 90 days
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or ARC American Red Cross Corewell Health Continuing Care (except Hospice), including Regional Rehab and Nursing Centers, Lakeland Continuing Care, Caring Circle Hospice 90 Days required Or
