Role and Responsibilities: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Landscaping Tractor Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate a variety of landscaping tractors and equipment to perform tasks such as grading, leveling, and maintaining outdoor spaces.
- Work closely with the landscaping team, which consists of individuals of all abilities.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment to identify any potential malfunctions or necessary mower blade replacements.
- Operate and maintain a variety of landscaping machinery, including tractors, mowers, skid-steers, excavators, and other related equipment.
- Utilize machinery to transport and distribute materials, plants, and other landscaping supplies efficiently.
- Follow all established safety protocols and guidelines while operating equipment and performing landscaping duties.
- Promptly report any equipment malfunctions, accidents, or safety concerns to supervisors for resolution.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with supervisors, clients, and team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate with Crew Leaders on a daily basis to provide updates on completed areas and tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements by consistently wearing all necessary protective gear as specified by CW Resources.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating landscaping tractors and heavy equipment.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Basic understanding of landscape design and construction techniques.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in tractor operation or related field.
- Experience with GPS systems for landscaping machinery.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape drainage.
- Experience with soil testing and grading.
- Ability to read blueprints or landscape plans.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up, push or pull up to 25 pounds or more.
- Stamina to work long hours outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, rain, etc.).
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and perform manual labor as needed.
- Reasonable accommodations can be provided.
Environmental Demands:
- Outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, sun, cold temperatures).
- Work may involve uneven terrain and remote locations.
- Occasional exposure to noise, dust, and allergens.
