Position Overview:

The primary focus of this role will be to work on Land Development civil engineering and planning projects ensuring delivery of a high-quality work product. The position will be to work on the preparation and delivery of plans, design documents, and specifications. This position will also provide limited consultation to clients and expertise to teams in research.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Produces designs which may include site planning, horizontal layout, grading, stormwater collection and management facilities, potable/reuse water systems, gravity sanitary sewer systems, pump stations, erosion control and maintenance of traffic.
  • Produces technical letters/reports such as due diligence packages and calculation books.
  • Performs field reviews, certifications and post design services.
  • Supports planning staff.
  • Identifies, develops and implements technical tools, techniques, software, materials and processes to optimize efficiencies and quality.
  • Actively contributes ideas, expertise and recommendations based upon industry knowledge.
  • Assists the Project Manager:
    • Performs technical and quality reviews of plans and specifications.
    • Participates in client, agency, and consultant meetings.
    • Prepares/Reviews fee and scope documents for clients.
  • May transport materials including samples, supplies and survey equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, related field or equivalent relevant work experience is required.
  • EIT in the State of Florida preferred.
  • Experience working on civil engineering and planning projects preferred.
  • Possesses a general understanding of entitlement processes.
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally to client, consultant, job site, agency and work locations, as needed.
