Position Purpose |
The
Assistant Director, Internships & Fundingis responsible for ensuring every Dartmouth student has equitable access to transformative internship experiences. This role oversees the creation of internship funding applications, monitors and executes decision-making processes, and provides lead administrative support to streamline internship funding opportunities. By collaborating closely with various academic centers and leveraging dedicated endowment funds, the
Assistant Director integrates innovative, equity-driven practices that remove financial barriers and enhance student career exploration. Ultimately, this position empowers students to apply classroom learning in real-world settings while fostering a cohesive and responsive internship ecosystem. |

- Bachelor's degree in Education, Higher Education Administration, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of experience in program management, internship coordination, career services, or a similar role in higher education or a related setting.
- Proven ability to manage projects and coordinate efforts across multiple stakeholders.
- Commitment to equity and inclusion, with experience supporting programs that expand access to opportunities for all students.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with academic centers, external partners, and diverse teams.
- Proficiency in analyzing data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with administrative software and project management tools, with flexibility to adapt to evolving technologies and work environments.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Master's degree in Education, Higher Education Administration, Business, or a related field.
- Five or more years of experience in program management, internship coordination, or career services within a higher education environment.
- Experience managing internship or experiential learning programs, including grant management or administering funding initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead cross-departmental initiatives that integrate academic and professional development.
- Advanced proficiency with administrative software, project management tools, and data analysis platforms.
- Experience working with diverse student populations, with a focus on implementing equity-driven strategies to enhance access and outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and develop programs that connect classroom learning with real-world career exploration.
