Sr. Supply Chain Planning Analyst, S&OP

The Sr. Supply Chain Planning Analyst, S&OP plays a critical role in bridging Niagara's sales, operations, and customer teams, ensuring seamless onboarding of new customers while designing and executing effective supply chain strategies that align with both current needs and future growth. This position leads the pre-sales and start-up phases, working directly with customers to establish operational models, define rules of engagement, and set clear success criteria, while managing the transition to steady-state execution. They collaborate with internal teams to identify gaps in supply chain performance, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and provide strategic recommendations on inventory management, production strategies, and capacity planning.

As a supply chain planning specialist, the Sr. Analyst drives operational excellence by aligning planning, operations, and sales teams across Niagara's supply chain and manufacturing processes, ensuring strategies are executed to meet both business goals and customer needs.

Essential Functions

  • Strategic Capacity Planning:
    • Develop, drive, and implement network planning strategies to optimize distribution and production capabilities across locations.
    • Oversee the execution of the annual capacity expansion, supporting timely alignment with business needs and market changes.
  • Support Master Planning & Inter-Departmental Collaboration:
    • Develop & Implement strategies that optimize product availability, production timing, and inventory policies, ensuring seamless coordination across departments.
    • Work with teams across operations, sales, and supply chain to design and refine network strategies and inventory build plans, aligning resources to meet demand efficiently while minimizing waste and shortages.
  • Operational Model Development
    • Work in partnership with sales, supply chain, IT, and finance to develop operational models for new business
    • Engage with potential customers to align on Niagara's supply chain service delivery.
    • Build consensus with customer stakeholders around rules of engagement in order to standardize practices and limit potential efficiency drains.
  • Develop customer success criteria
    • Align with customer on key success criteria.
    • Establish KPIs and metrics to support new business.
    • Partner with BI team to automate and share appropriate metrics and reports with customers.
    • Ensure relevancy of KPIs to both customer and Niagara.
  • Lead New Customer Start-Up Process
    • Support start-up of new customers.
    • Design SOPs that support operational model and Niagara success criteria.
    • Provide hand-off to Niagara's operations teams and ensure successful transition in first 90 days.
    • Develop start-up project plan in concert with IT, Product Development, and Finance and track key milestones and deliverables to ensure readiness for customer launch
    • Develop key communication pathways between Niagara and customer supply chain teams including exception management and rules for escalation.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Work with internal stakeholders to define waste or inefficiencies within our operations.
    • Partner with IT, CI, Sales, and customer to develop and launch continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Technical - Good with systems and a strong Oracle, JDA, Logility, and Excel background is a plus. Understanding technology and IT limitations is critical in managing improvement projects. The candidate will need to understand what the best practices are in terms of the relationships between Niagara and its customers, and be able to communicate & facilitate the conversation from Niagara to the customer's supply chain.
    • Good knowledge of leveraging technical information for data collection.
    • Good knowledge of data visualization strategies and the ability to tell a story through data.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • 4 Years - Experience in Field or Planning, MRP, Procurement, Logistics, Finance or similar function
    • 2 Years - Experience in Position

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Economics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain or other related field or equivalent work experience
  • Preferred:
    • Master's Degree in Engineering, Economics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain or other related field or equivalent work experience
