Lead Medical Assistant, Family Medicine - Saugus

We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant Lead to support our Family Medicine practice in Saugus, MA! This is a 40-hour onsite position. Our practice is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
The role is a vital member of the care team, responsible for exercising appropriate leadership and oversight of clinical operations and Medical Assistant staff throughout the site or department under the direction of the Practice Manager. In addition to performing the duties of a Medical Assistant, the Lead Medical Assistant will:
-Provide leadership to the medical assisting team, including training, mentoring, and performance guidance.
-Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring proper workload distribution and effective utilization of resources.
-Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
-Coordinate patient flow, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of care.
-Assist with patient intake, including obtaining medical history, vital signs, and preparing patients for examination.
-Participates in the interview process for new MAs and serves as a preceptor for new hires or students, supervising clinic support staff and creating coverage schedules for the MA team.
-Assists with competency assessment for other MAs and provides input on performance evaluations.

Required:
  • High School diploma/GED
  • Medical Assistant course or diploma program or minimum of 3 years of professional experience
  • Certification via AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT
  • Either BLS or Annual Manikin training including CPR and AED after 6 months of hire
Preferred:
  • Primary Care experience
