Patient Care Tech Intern - Acute Med/Tele Rotating Shift - 36 hours The Johns Hopkins Hospital's Nelson 6 is a 23-bed medical floor, with capacity for 12 patients in need of cardiac telemetry monitoring. Nelson 6 is a dynamic acute care/telemetry unit that exemplifies award-winning patient care and interprofessional collaboration. Our inclusive Clinical Care team partners with physicians, rehabilitation therapies, care management, and support staff to provide exemplary patient care to diverse patients with complex co-morbidities. The service provides care for a multitude of medical diagnoses including patients presenting with heart failure, liver failure, respiratory failure, and end stage renal disease. The Clinical Tech Intern works under the supervision of a nurse, and taking into consideration the developmental needs of the patient, performs routine patient activities and delegated patient care procedures of a specialized and technical nature as competency documentation designates.
