The Department of Neurological Surgery's faculty members, working and teaching at Orange County's only university hospital, are committed to training the next generation of exceptional neuroscientists while providing care to patients with a wide range of neurosurgical conditions, including spinal disorders, traumatic brain injury and trigeminal neuralgia. Your Role on the Team Under the general direction of the Chief Administrative Officer, the incumbent is responsible for the Department of Neurological Surgery and Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation's fiscal related matters including budgeting, financial analysis, contracts and grants, and post award management. Funding sources include general funds, federal/state contracts and grants, private gifts and grants, clinical trials, start-up funds, clinical revenue model funds, professional fees, and sales service income. Under the general direction of the Chief Administrative Officer and Chairs, incumbent provides high level policy analysis and interpretation and performs independent problem solving that requires interaction with, physicians, Principal Investigators, laboratory staff and various levels of accounting and sponsored projects personnel. Strategizes and recommends innovative fiscal solutions to the Administrator. Under the general direction of the Chief Administrative Officer and Chairs, incumbent is responsible for providing financial analysis and reporting on all account funds, budgeting, projections and fiscal close functions.
