Sales Application Engineer

Daikin Applied is seeking an Applications Sales Engineer and are open to considering various levels of expertise from Applications I, II and III levels. The Applications Sales Engineer will provide technical expertise on company products to sales representatives in the selection and application of business unit products to fulfill specific field requirements. He or She will provide strategies on how to position the product to effectively compete in the marketplace. In addition, he or she will interact with customers to effectively demonstrate the value of company product lines. As a level III Sales Engineer, he or she will be expected to provide thought leadership and direction within the Marketing Applications organization. Location: Plymouth, MN- Hybrid

What you will do:

• Provide prompt, accurate support to sales representative inquiries regarding special applications, systems or pricing
• Process requests for modifications or options and other general information not covered by published pricing
• Stay informed on new products and competitive models in the marketplace
• Communicate suggested modifications to the company's products/services to meet customer requirements
• Communicates and provides feedback to product management for product services requirements not met by current product line
• May write or provide input to assist in preparing technical literature for internal and field application
• Participate in product training of sales representatives and customers
• Provide leadership and direction within Marketing Applications organization
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Engineering, STEM or related field
• We are open to various skill levels
  
  
  
  • Level I- 0-4 years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level II- 5-8 years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level III- 8 + years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

The typical annual base salary for these positions ranges from $60,200- $143,100 + up to 10% bonus in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location
