The Associate, Sterile Production Operations, assists in the planning, organizing, supervising and directing of daily activities and schedules of production associates who are engaged in the production of medical device products and/or components and to manage projects and process improvements within assigned areas, all while maintaining regulatory compliance at the Huntington, WV, United States facility

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Assist in front line supervision, by providing leadership, training oversite, work direction for production technicians and shift to shift communication
  • Conduct operations in accordance with established policies and procedures to meet production safety, quality, people, delivery, cost, and established values and behaviors
  • Troubleshoot problems regarding product quality and equipment within assigned areas
  • Provides direction and instruction as needed in accordance with Alcon policies
  • Provides positive, influential behavior towards change management culture
  • Sets a good example for other in their work area by being active, positive, and offering direction and problem solving.
  • Faces problems with confidence and assurance, and consistently excels in leading and motivating people in their areas.
  • Provides on shift and cross shift feedback on all key performance indicators
  • Manages conflict and deals affectively with others in a diverse workforce
  • Leads and implements continuous improvement processes within assigned area, utilizing industry known lean manufacturing principles

Working hours: 3rd Shift (Sun- Thursday 11:00PM-7:00AM)

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

High School Diploma or equivalent

The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

3 Years of Relevant Experience

Travel Requirements: None

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong overall IOL manufacturing process knowledge and experience
  • Must be currently Production Specialist with at least 1 year in the role
  • Performance rating of 3 or better for the last 3 years
  • Must be in good standing (no written warnings or PIP)
  • Must be a full-time Alcon associate
