We have an exciting new opportunity to join Symetra as a Business Systems Analyst (Exstream Designer/Developer). About the role As the Business Systems Analyst you will work to manipulate the behavior and/or the structure of an application using an application's inherent tool set. You'll configure business rules, workflows, forms, and user interfaces to support business processes for small to medium sized system modifications. What you will do
- The Business Systems Analyst will perform document composition using OpenText Exstream to create customer communication documents such as forms, notifications, letters, and statements.
- Document composition will result in high quality Exstream components based on business specifications, style formatting, and adherence to standards for software deployment methodologies.
- Create and manage Orchestration Workflows, using best practices to design shared components and scripts.
- Manage and deploy Designer and Orchestration assets between multiple environments.
- Create pages with correct template assignment and effective use of text boxes, tables, messages, flow frames, and variables.
- Data mapping of requirements to technical specifications for the desired outcome for customer communication.
- Create test data and test cases for unit testing of documents and components created.
- Adhere to defined standards and processes for document composition to ensure supportable components.
- Collaborate and communicate with technical and business teams to refine requirements, perform integration testing, and obtain approvals for documents being configured.
- Analyze and problem solve issues in the generation of customer communication.
- Participate in on-call rotation for incident support.

Compensation Salary Range: $93,900 - $156,600 plus eligibility for annual bonus program. Who you are
- Experience with OpenText Exstream customer communication management product with various modules like Command Center, Orchestration, Communications Designer, PDF Export, Queue management and Document creation.
- Experience with Exstream Cloud Edition version 23 or 24
- Analytical skill set with experience mapping business requirements to technical specifications required to develop effective document templates.
- Experience with unit testing and creating test cases.
- Experience with Data Mapping (connecting data files to templates in Exstream).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required for work with diverse teams and effective requirement meetings.
- Self-starter who can work independently.
- Strong time management skills, along with knowing how to get support most effectively when needed.
What puts you ahead
- Designing and Developing forExstream Cloud Edition version 23+
- Previous experience migrating from on-premise versions of Exstream to Cloud Edition
- Experience in Print & Mail Industry, Insurance or Financial Services Industry is a plus. Especially Insurance or Financial Services.
- Integrating with 3rd party applications via APIs and HTTPS input channels.
- Experience with custom scripting in Exstream Cloud Edition or developing with JavaScript
- Experience with Empower, OTDS management
- Understanding of AWS services (S3, Step Functions, EKS, and CloudWatch)
