Description
Pharmacists completing this PGY1 residency will be competent practitioners of direct patient care in an acute care environment. As members of the health care team, they will be accountable for achieving optimal drug therapy outcomes in a variety of acute care patients including internal medicine, infectious diseases, transplantation, critical care and pediatric patients. The resident will develop and exercise skills in educating other health care providers and patients. They will develop leadership skills by taking an active role in medication safety and performance improvement efforts. The resident will demonstrate professional maturity by exhibiting a commitment to the profession, and developing a mechanism for personal life-long learning. The PGY1 resident will report to the PGY1 Residency Program Director. 1 year contract Salary:$36/hr ($75,168 annually) Qualifications
1. Graduation from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree 2. Be eligible to apply for a pharmacist licensure in the State of California prior to the entrance into the program. CA pharmacist licensure is required by September of the residency year 3. Complete a personal, on-site or remote interview with the interview panel, director of the residency program and current PGY1 resident(s). 4. Ability to accurately perform pharmaceutical calculations.
