Job Title: Quality Engineer

Location: Richardson, TX 75081/. Hybrid - in office 2 days/week Tuesdays and Thursdays

Duration: 8 months, potential of conv to full time

Resource's typical working day:

  • Involved with testing products end to end
  • Communicating with other team members
  • Identifying user problems in product


Years of Experience needed: 2-5 years

Level of Education: Bachelor's preferred

Systems/Software proficiencies:

  • Cucumber
  • API testing of CRUD operations using POSTMAN
  • CI/CD to run the test suits
  • Ability to test Java Microservices with PostGRES and NoDocument databases (like Mongo)
  • API testing using Postman & RestAssured with Selenium
  • JAVA , javascript, Cucumber with TestNG & Maven build tool


About the Role:

As a client's Quality Engineer, you will oversee automation efforts for multiple projects to ensure that Agile CoE and DevOps processes are being adhered to and implemented effectively.

This job is part of the Quality Engineering job function. The team is responsible for developing and executing methods and procedures to ensure products are free of flaws and operate as designed.

What You'll Do:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and execute quality plans and troubleshoot issues throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Assist with the implementation of predefined Automation and DevOps standards for products within scope, as well as the processes of continuous integration and deployment.
  • Develop automated test cases for user storiesand upload to the respective source control system.
  • Track the progress of the QA activities, both manual and automated.
  • Conduct automation test reporting and ensure data is correctly recorded, reported and collated.
  • Escalate issues within Automation to the QA manager with proposed solutions.
  • Create, implement, and maintain automated tests in alignment with functional test requirements and DevOps processes.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques and procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
  • Work within broad guidelines and policies.
  • Explain difficult or sensitive information.


What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Certification in QAI(CSTE) or ISTQB preferred. Six Sigma Green belt and/or Lean processes preferred.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Passion to impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
