Position description

The Department of Neurobiology at UCLA seeks candidates to focus in research areas of computational biology and neuro-genomics, studying the gene regulatory networks involved and affected in neurological and neuropsychiatric diseases such as autism spectrum disorders (ASD), sleep & circadian rhythm-related conditions, Alzheimer's disease (AD) using multimodal high-throughput single-cell or single-nucleus transcriptomic sequencing, chromatin accessibility and spatial transcriptomics approaches. Candidate will also study gene regulatory mechanisms for deep brain stimulation (DBS) as a therapy for neurological and neuropsychiatric diseases using multimodal approaches. Applicants must possess an earned doctorate in neurobiology or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years post-doctoral research training in a relevant field of study. Successful candidates will exhibit outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills, leadership potential, and high ethical responsibility. A track record of publications in internationally recognized journals and dedication to collaborative, multidisciplinary research is required. Position will require teaching in core neuroscience courses.

Terminal degree in neurosciences or related field and five years of related postdoctoral experience.
