Logistics Supervisor

Description

Under the general direction of the Logistics' Managers and Directors, the Materials Management Supervisor is responsible for supporting operational daily aspects of Supply Chain Operations and Laundry and Linen serviceareas in the medical centers/hospitals and ambulatory clinics. You will support the department in supervising staff, provide financial oversight, manage compliance audits, and assist in the development of policy and procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Supervise materials management team members, maintain staff schedules, and manage daily logistics operations.
  • Oversee supply replenishment, manage par levels, equipment processing, and the removal of outdated products.
  • Develop policies and procedures for process improvements and ensure compliance.
  • Create reports on inventory, budget, or any other data.
  • Maintain staff schedules; draft performance evaluations, counseling memos, and address staff shortages on all shifts across teams.

Salary Range: $36.49-76.05/hr
Qualifications

  • 3years of experience in a leadership role within a hospital setting preferred.
  • Experience managing staff, including coordinating staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and counseling.
  • Required to hold a valid driver's license, maintain a driving record in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program.
  • Ability to oversee the orientation, competency performance, and ongoing technical education of staff in all areas.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and facilitation skills with a strong customer service emphasis.
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of basic computer operations and software, including hospital-based systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the implementation and management of a Materials Management information system.
  • Ability to strictly adhere to healthcare regulations for infection control.
  • Consistently demonstrates a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Skilled in setting priorities that accurately reflect the importance of job responsibilities.
  • Skilled in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction.
  • Always responds to the needs of all areas.
  • Consistently establishes and maintains positive guest relations with staff members, subordinates, managers, and administrators.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and interacts with patients and family members in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Ability to attend all in-services, workshops, and classes as requested.
  • Experience with Lawson is preferred.
