Are you an enthusiastic and proactive leader who thrives in fast-paced environments? CW Resources is seeking an ambitious Galley Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our food service contract on a government installation. Our Galley provides essential dining services to uniformed military personnel, military spouses, and veterans. In this role, you will lead a dedicated team, primarily composed of adults with disabilities to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality food service operations.


What You'll Do:



  • Operational Leadership:





    • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Galley, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

    • Address and escalate operational challenges as needed.



  • Team Supervision:





    • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise a team of individuals, focusing on fostering a welcoming environment that supports staff development and success.

    • Lead by example to ensure high standards of service and operational performance.



  • Customer Service Excellence:





    • Maintain a customer-first attitude, ensuring the team provides exceptional service to military personnel, veterans, and their families.



  • Compliance & Safety:





    • Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety standards, health codes, and military regulations.

    • Safeguard the security and confidentiality of documents and sensitive data.



  • Payroll & Attendance:





    • Manage and maintain accurate attendance and payroll records for all staff, making necessary adjustments to ensure accurate and timely processing.



  • Facility Management:





    • Oversee the cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of the Galley, ensuring that dining areas, kitchens, and equipment are kept in top condition at all times.



  • Performance Management:





    • Establish clear job responsibilities and performance expectations.

    • Regularly assess team performance and provide constructive feedback and coaching to promote continuous improvement.



  • Ongoing Improvement:





    • Continuously identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, team collaboration, and service quality.




Minimum Qualifications:



  • Minimum of (2) years' supervisory or Team Lead experience working in food service, operations

  • Strong leadership skills with experience motivating and leading teams.

  • Familiarity with Outlook, SharePoint, Word, and Excel.

  • Knowledge of food safety standards, health codes, and military guidelines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on team development and conflict resolution.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

  • A commitment to maintaining high operational standards and delivering exceptional service to our military community.

  • Must have a valid driver's license


Physical Demands:



  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the Galley and its various workstations for extended periods.

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., lifting food supplies, cleaning equipment, etc.).

  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform other tasks requiring mobility in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be able to handle repetitive motions such as reaching, grasping, and working with cleaning equipment.

  • Ability to operate and maintain cleaning machinery and kitchen equipment safely.

  • Reasonable accommodations can be provided.


Environmental Demands:



  • The work is performed in a commercial kitchen environment, which can be noisy.

  • Exposure to varying temperatures (hot and cold) as you will work in kitchen areas and refrigeration units.

  • Frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals and sanitizing agents.

  • Must be able to work in a high-traffic environment and respond quickly to operational needs.

  • Willingness to work in compliance with all safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
