Senior Formulation Chemist will provide applications test data and/or technical service to customers using or testing, existing Ingevity products.

How you will impact Ingevity:

• Using Market feedback, design, prepare, and test new agrochemical product formulations for target customers. Current product development focus will be on dispersants, adjuvants, and wetter / emulsifier, solvent products for WDG, SC, SL, EC, OD, tank mix additives, controlled release and biologicals.
• Create technical plans for product and formulation development with minimal guidance.
• Coordinate activities with the Ingevity agrochemicals global team including sales / marketing, production, and other technical resources.
• Interface with research, business, manufacturing, marketing, regulatory, and quality functions regarding project updates and product advancement.
• Act as a liaison with external customers' technology groups and provide technical support including presentations to diverse audiences globally on an as needed basis.

What you need to succeed:

• PhD in chemistry, polymer or material science or related field is required.
• Experience in surface and colloidal chemistry, formulations/product development in agrochemicals is preferred but not required.
• Proficient in analytical techniques such as spectroscopy (NMR, FTIR, UV-Vis), chromatography (HPLC, GC-MS), and related laboratory instrumentation.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements, such as EPA, REACH, or USDA regulations.
• Desirable but not mandatory experience in the development of products and scale-up from lab to pilot-scale production.
• Excellent analytical and creative thinking skills, strong problem-solving capabilities, and an ability to work across skill levels to effectively communicate and champion value of the work.
• An ability to work on cross-functional and international teams and adapt well to change in a complex corporate and market environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to distill complex technical information into clear, concise, and engaging and adjust conversation flow based on audience engagement and feedback.
• Travel up to 30% including international travel.
