SUMMARY
We have an exciting open position in LNC primarily. Reporting to the President of Closures, North America.
The NA Closures supply chain director will be accountable for orchestrating the entire supply chain process, ensuring seamless integrations between suppliers, manufacturing and customers to optimize efficiency and reduce costs. Bringing a strategic vision to improve overall processes, leveraging data analytics to forecast demand, leading the SOP process and make informed decisions that enhance inventory management and streamline logistics.
The NA closures supply chain director will drive continuous improvement initiatives and innovation excellence in the supply chain scope, lead the team to adapt to market changes and implement sustainable practices to enhance operational resilience and contribute to overall business success.
JOB DUTIES
- Strategy Building: Collaborate with senior leadership to align strategic initiatives with business objectives.
- Supply Chain and Customer Service Management: Oversee the entire supply chain process, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution. Identify opportunities to improve customer service, response rate, KPI's and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Forecasting and Planning: Develop and implement strategies for forecasting demand, inventory planning, and procurement to ensure the timely availability of materials while minimizing costs.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with global suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to secure favorable agreements and ensure the quality and reliability of materials.
- Inventory Control: Implement inventory control measures to optimize inventory levels, minimize excess or obsolete stock, and ensure accurate material tracking.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that materials meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of materials management professionals, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high performance and alignment with organizational goals.
- Cost Management: Monitor and analyze materials procurement, transportation, and inventory management costs. Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the materials management function, identifying opportunities for process optimization, efficiency gains, and cost reductions.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and promote cross functional collaboration, including all other departments, such as production, sales, finance, and quality assurance, to align materials management activities with overall business objectives.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., APICS) is a plus.
- Proven experience in materials management, procurement, or supply chain leadership roles in a manufacturing environment with mechanical and electronic assembly with a minimum of 10,000 SKUs.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management techniques, and procurement strategies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and other relevant materials management and procurement software.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, focusing on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to materials management and procurement.
- Systems thinking/mindset, including creating an understanding of a more extensive system by examining linkages and interactions between components.
- Demonstrate ability to provide an inclusive workplace that fosters the development of others.
