953 GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Maintenance Administrator is responsible for scheduling routine maintenance, break-fix maintenance, bridging maintenance work with the inventory department, and maintaining accurate records for all Western Cooling Operations. This role assists with environmental compliance audits and retention. Other responsibilities include organizing compliance training, timing and retention. This position relocates to Yuma, AZ as needed. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION: * Creates maintenance work orders for all locations associated with Marina, Huron, and Yuma (Western Cooling Operations) and assigns work to appropriate maintenance personnel.
* Maintains accurate equipment asset list for all areas and locations.
* Assists in scheduling vendors to perform routine work in all areas and ensures project has been completed to SOW.
* Tracks work order completion percentage and keeps all related documentation organized to comply with FSQA guidance.
* Assists in maintaining correct inventory levels though work orders assigned for optimum maintenance department needs.
* Maintain maintenance reports and records for all cooler locations, including Monterey Bay Unified Air Pollution Control District (water cooling towers, painting permits, emergency generator), State of California, EPA, Department of Toxic Control, Monterey County Health Dept Division of Environmental Health (hazardous materials inventory, and registration of new materials).
* Works with cooler managers regarding ammonia, propane, or other HAZMAT spill responses, disposals, or permits. Attends continuing education seminars regarding emergency response requirements.
* Assists with updating emergency response plans for all cooler locations. Provides documentation support for emergency situations.
* Maintains and updates Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) binders for coolers.
* Downloads temperature and ORP data from portable cooling equipment.
* Monitors shipping and receiving of hazmat-waste in maintenance inventory.
* Follows all Food Safety Requirements and GMPs as applicable to position.
* Other duties as assigned. Required Skills
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES: * 2-3 years' experience in maintenance administration or support.
* Strong communication and telephone skills.
* Experience with data entry and basic computer operation skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented, fast paced environment.
* Effective time management skills with the ability to multi-task while maintaining excellent attention to detail. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift (including overhead) and/or up to 15 lbs. WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: * May work beyond regular business hours and regular rotating shifts as needed.
* Up to 50% travel to other Dole work locations as needed. Required Experience
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: * HS Diploma or equivalent required.
