Nature and Scope The IT Intern will assist the IT department with day-to-day technical support, system maintenance, and project-based tasks. This internship will provide exposure to various IT areas, including troubleshooting, software/hardware setup, network administration, and cybersecurity practices. This position will also provide exposure to infrastructure planning for facility expansions. - Assist with troubleshooting tickets through ServiceNow. Provide technical support to employees, including troubleshooting hardware, software issues.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, software, and other hardware.
- Help with IT projects and tasks as needed, providing hands-on support and learning.
- Participate in team meetings, contributing ideas and learning about IT infrastructure and business needs.
- Work with vendors to complete computer repairs
- Assist in label network cables, network diagrams
- Assist with Asset Inventory
- Adhere to all I.T. JSOX policies in performing day to day activities.
- Periodically train on the I.T. department's policies per schedule provided by the QC department and in compliance with JSOX.
- Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management.
Education Requirements and Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and hardware.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows all versions) and office productivity software.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts and IT security practices is a plus.
- Experience with IT support, troubleshooting, or system administration (through coursework or personal projects).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, cloud services, and remote desktop tools.
