About the Role

The versatility supervisor will oversee the management of floor level manufacturing. Policing, fostering, and governing accountability to AESC established policies and manufacturing standards. The person in this position works to ensure integrity in management. All shifts and all areas of manufacturing shall adhere to AESC HR policies, BPM (Business Process Management) and IMS (Integrated Manufacturing System) standards. The versatility position will be responsible for ensuring that AESC is always adhering to these principles throughout the plant and. This responsibility will establish and maintain a cohesive, cooperative team culture among a diverse team of manufacturing and maintenance team members. Enabling a diverse team to achieve plant safety, quality, cost reduction, product delivery, and project targets on one or more shifts.

What You Will Do

*Mentor and coach supervisors to company policies and IMS responsibilities.

*Hold supervisors accountable to all AESC published management standards and aid supervisors in achieving production targets and goals.

*Drive standardization (including 5S), plus Kaizen (continuous improvement) of all work and processes in all areas of the plant.

*Foster the management staff to build an efficient, effective team through improved leadership skills and motivational tactics.

*Promote a safe work environment and maintain an atmosphere of trust and positive morale.

*Interface with the operations supervisors to coordinate daily and weekly activities and to set work priorities that ensure KPI achievements.

*Support high level decision making during critical production events in order to coordinate the best actions for the best possible results.

*Prepared to work with and obtain information from support groups such as Supply Chain Management, Process Engineering, Quality, IMS and Safety departments.

*Prepare reoccurring reports that detail activities and results related to the versatility supervisor role responsibilities such as KPI mapping for all production areas, top concerns, employee achievements, training plans for veteran and new supervisors, etc.

*Ensure supervisors manage employees to always work in a safe and efficient manner and that all safety guidelines and rules are followed, including proactive safety management to identify and address safety concerns before an accident occurs.

*Keep supervisors current on all policies and procedures (existing and newly released) applicable to them.

*Supervisor role coverage as needed. This responsibility will dictate work on any shift and any time. Flexible schedule availability is required.

*Manager coverage as needed to ensure department tasks are timely and do not pause positive contributions to safety, quality, cost, and time.

*Support audits pertaining to safety, job observations, quality or customer requirements.

*Support employee growth and development, including performance evaluations, ILU tracking, termination recommendations when appropriate, and attendance monitoring.

*All supervisor activities.

*Provide leadership, coaching, guidance, training, and management development.

*Interview and select employees.

*Plan and evaluate supervisor performance, support counsel and discipline as necessary.

*Reporting and performance tracking.

*As necessary, perform other related duties of which the above are representative.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor and is characterized by some temperature extremes, moderate noise, and forklift traffic. The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

What You Need

*5+ years in a full supervisory role.

*Exemplary leadership, coaching and training skills.

*Job knowledge and skills including excellent communication, interpersonal and motivational skills.

*Basic understanding of battery manufacturing and function.

*Knowledge of ISO9000, ISO14001, and IATF16949.

*Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.

*Schedule flexibility for all shifty needs.

*Computer skills: MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access) proficiency and knowledge.
