Maintenance Technician

Ready to make a difference with your maintenance expertise? Advantage xPO is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Bethesda, MD. In this role, you'll be responsible for general facility maintenance and repair, ensuring smooth operations and top-notch service.

Pay: $25 - $30 per hour

Shift: 2nd Shift - Sunday to Thursday (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM)

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll support the 2nd Shift Lead, ensuring quality workmanship and a professional work environment. You'll communicate service needs with the Site Lead, coordinate client subcontractors, and handle a variety of repairs including fixing walls, floors, doors, and performing touch-up painting. Additionally, you'll maintain and repair plumbing systems, such as unclogging toilets and replacing valves, and manage air handling equipment like ventilation and circulation fans. Preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, including filter changes and coil cleaning, is also part of the role. General repairs in plumbing, carpentry, and electrical will be part of your daily responsibilities. You'll also monitor building automation systems for proper temperature control and maintain organized records and reports.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational school preferred
• 5+ years of experience in facility maintenance (plumbing, carpentry, electrical)
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to read and interpret safety manuals and work orders
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Experience with general repairs (walls, floors, doors, air handling equipment)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and kneel frequently
• Skilled in record-keeping and using basic computer systems
• Comfortable working in noisy, high, or confined areas, with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures
