Shared Services: Global Outreach (Full-Time, Day Shift) - Job Summary: The Program Manager-GHI International Professional Development (IPD) is responsible for managing the International Professional Development program for clinicians, administrators, and other licensed professionals who come to Loma Linda to increase their knowledge and return to their home country to build healthcare capacity. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business or health related area required. Master's Degree preferred. Minimum of three years of work experience in project management, health care, international mission work, or study abroad program required.
Knowledge and Skills: Uses discretion and independent thinking to make sound decisions and judgments; demonstrates interest and sensitivity in working with people from different cultural and religious backgrounds; specialized knowledge related to visa and immigration and Medical Board of California requirements required; relates and communicates collaboratively, positively, effectively, and professionally with others; be assertive and consistent in following policies; collaborates and accepts direction; demonstrates outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills combined with an ability to prioritize demands and workload; budget-minded and financially savvy. Able to perform basic accounting functions; be financially responsible; conduct financial analyses; communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; use computer and software programs necessary to the position, including Kintera, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and databases; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; speak publicly and give presentations to internal and external audiences. Able to hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone; identify and distinguish sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens and written documents necessary to the position.
