SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst II - Managed Care performs various complex analytical tasks to support contract analysis and modeling for JHM. Participates in the development, implementation, and/or maintenance of contract rates and fee schedules for various contracted payors. A Financial Analyst II is empowered to own, develop, and suggest improvements for their responsible areas to aid in improving managed care contracts.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Performs analysis and rate modeling of managed care contracts in support of negotiations, re-negotiations, and renewals. Analyze rate proposals and develop strategies to increase revenue.

Supports data driven decision making by formulating recommendations based upon data, trend analysis, financial and operational modeling and strategic market research.

Performs a wide variety of duties including working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to drive key managed care initiatives and programs.

Reviews and interprets managed care contracts regarding contract and reimbursement terms, conditions, policies, guidelines, and regulations, and keeps them current and accurate in various systems.

Follow up with the payer as appropriate to obtain additional reimbursement information. Leads ongoing maintenance and auditing of contract management rate calculations.

Works with Managed Care team to identify trends, and to review, and research variances. Communicate effectively with the Managed Care team, payer representatives, and other internal and external stakeholders.

Demonstrates a high-level of analytical skill to prepare financial and/or statistical analyses for various stakeholders, possessing a strong attention to detail.

Exhibits advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, Power BI, and data tables and has considerable experience with financial systems (EDW, Power BI, and EPSi preferred).

Illustrates skills for managing moderate-level data projects including assessment, organization, soliciting, inquiry, presentation, and proposing recommendations and/or solutions to leadership in a timely and relevant manner.





Education: Requires a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field. Master's degree work is preferred.

Work Experience: Requires three years of experience in finance, budgeting, accounting, or a similar field, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Salary Range: Minimum $28.47 per hour - Maximum $47.00 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
