Role and Responsibilities:


Are you a skilled network professional with a passion for ensuring seamless and secure IT infrastructure? We're looking for a Network Administrator to join our team and support both Level 2 Helpdesk and network administration.



  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable network solutions, including routers, switches, and firewalls.

  • Proactively monitor and assess network performance, addressing potential issues before they impact users.

  • Utilize network monitoring tools to track and resolve disruptions, bottlenecks, and outages.

  • Ensure network security, including maintaining VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS).

  • Manage and update network configurations, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulations.

  • Provide troubleshooting support for complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime for end users.

  • Create user training sessions on network tools, security best practices, and basic troubleshooting.

  • Respond to escalated support requests, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.

  • Manage and report on network performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.

  • Collaborate with external vendors to ensure optimal network services and resolve service-related issues.

  • Ensure all security protocols are up to date and comply with best practices to protect the network from threats.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 2 - 5 years of experience in network administration and technical support roles.

  • Proven experience providing Level 1 technical support in an IT helpdesk environment.

  • Strong knowledge of network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.

  • Proficiency with Office 365, Microsoft Admin Center, Azure, and Power BI.

  • Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).


Preferred Skills:



  • Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CCST - Cisco Certified Support Technician, CompTIA Network+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.

  • Expertise in configuring and managing networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).

  • Expertise in Cisco, Cisco Meraki platforms and hardware.

  • Advanced understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).

  • Knowledge of security principles, including firewall configuration, VPNs, SSL/TLS, and IPSec.

  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze network data for performance improvement.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical staff.


Physical & Environmental Demands:



  • Handling and manipulating hardware components (e.g., routers, switches, cables) during installations and troubleshooting.

  • Lifting and moving networking hardware or servers, typically weighing 20-50 lbs or more.

  • Extended periods of desk work, managing network monitoring software and documentation.

  • Bending, squatting, or kneeling to run and organize network cables in server rooms or data centers.

  • Climbing ladders or crawling into tight spaces to access network equipment in certain environments.

  • Exposure to cooler temperatures and noise in server rooms or data centers.

  • Possible exposure to electrical hazards and high-voltage equipment when working with networking infrastructure.

  • On-call or extended hours may be required for network outages or security incidents.

  • Reasonable accommodations can be provided.
