Job Description A Data Governance Analyst plays a vital role in ensuring the effective development, management and governance of data within an organization. Primary responsibilities include supporting the application and deployment of Terracon's Data and Analytics Governance Platform (DAGP) including data curation, training, and teaching the Data Governance (DG) end user community at Terracon about Data Governance and the use of the DAGP and performing specific curation tasks as requested by the DG team. Ultimately, this role will be vital to ensure that the DAGP and the DG platform supports the organization's goals of making data accessible, usable, and secure while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. Responsibilities: Data Acquisition and Management: The specialist is responsible for acquiring metadata from various internal Terracon data sources sources, ingesting and processing it, and ensuring it is properly curated. Data Quality Assurance: Ensuring data quality is a critical responsibility. The specialist works with Terracon Data Management teams to maintain data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Technical Documentation: Developing technical documentation and metadata to help track and manage curated data assets is an essential part of the role. Support for Data Governance Activities: The specialist assists in the implementation and maintenance of data governance policies and best practices, ensuring that data governance activities align with corporate policies. * Collaboration with Stakeholders: They work closely with data owners, data stewards, and other stakeholders to coordinate data governance activities and ensure effective communication. Training and Education: Developing and supporting user training programs to improve data literacy and facilitate systems adoption for effective data management. Field Data Collection Support: Providing guidance on the configuration and use of tools for field data collection, ensuring data meets accuracy and attribution criteria Continuous Improvement: The specialist is involved in modernizing systems and processes to improve data management practices and stay updated with industry trends. Follows Safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
