Assistant Director for Undergraduate and Graduate Aid Counseling Georgetown University comprises two unique campuses in the nation's capital. Requirements With intermediate supervision from the Director of Graduate Aid Operations and Counseling & Senior Associate Director of Undergraduate Aid, the Assistant Director for Undergraduate and Graduate Aid Counseling delivers counseling services to current and prospective students and their families regarding the financial aid process, procedures, and program rules, including information about all federal, state, private, and institutional loan, grant, and work programs. This position is responsible for the caseload of students with last names beginning with letters E, F, and H for undergraduates and H through K for graduate student, including preliminary review and processing of financial aid applications, maintenance of all financial aid records, and for written and verbal communication with students to ensure the highest standards of customer/client services and support established procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and University policies. The Office of Student Financial Services manages an active caseload of 9,300 clients each year (currently enrolled students) and administers $300 million each year in Main Campus scholarship, loan, and work programs. Work Interactions This position reports directly to Director of Graduate Aid Operations and Counseling & Senior Associate Director of Undergraduate Aid. This position is unique in that it's the only position within the Student Financial Services Counseling staff unit that processes both undergraduate and graduate student aid. The unit provides financial aid counseling to diverse student and parent populations and works closely with other University departments to ensure quality service. The counseling unit is one of five lines of business in OSFS. The financial aid counselor frequently communicates and interacts with prospective applicants for admission to Georgetown's Main Campus programs as well as with enrolled students. Pay Range: The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $19.20 - $28.70 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
