Overview
Continental Electronics Corporation ("CEC"), a subsidiary of OSI Systems, Inc ("OSI") seeks an accomplished professional to serve in the position of Controller, for its rapidly growing high tech manufacturing company based in Dallas, Texas. The Group Controller will have overall Financial and Accounting responsibility for CEC's operations and be responsible, for implementing a proper financial infrastructure for a growing division of a large public Company. The Controller will possess significant accounting experience and outstanding analytical and communication skills. The Controller is responsible for maintaining the Company's books/records,. delivering financial reports which are compliant with GAAP, government contract regulations and SEC regulations and managing accounting and reporting policies and processes. It will be critical to this individual's success that he/she work as a Business Partner for the CEC management team, be team oriented and have a hands-on-approach to managing the function.
Responsibilities
- Oversees day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash reporting / forecasting.
- Preparation of monthly reporting packages which includes financial statements and other relevant schedules that are timely, relevant and consistent.
- Ensure all general ledger accounts are reconciled in a timely manner.
- Directs budgeting and short term/long range forecasting for the organization.
- Oversees all financial and internal control compliance audits and be responsible for implementing corrective actions needed to meet the standards required by the Sarbanes Oxley Act.
- Ensures compliance with Government contract accounting standards and FAR regulations
Direct continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing internal control, improving internal workflows and working capital improvement. - Oversees Deltek ERP system, which is in the process of being implemented.
- Drives continuous improvement in processes and controls with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging key systems.
- Provides data for decision making including early-warning notice and recommends corrective actions in problem areas.
- Act as business partner to the CEC Executive and Management team

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, Masters a plus.
- ASC 606 with a heavy emphasis on over-time revenue recognition.
- 5+ years' experience leading financial organizations in high tech manufacturing required.
- Prior experience working in a lead financial role for a government contractor.
- Supervisory experience required with strong leadership and team building skills.
- Ability to challenge the paradigms for the way the business is being run, add vigor and discipline to the controls and reporting processes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with other strong personalities,
Outstanding analytical skills. - Deltek ERP experience.
- Success as a change agent.
- CPA preferred.
