Nature and Scope

The Summer Internship is intended to expose an individual to statistical applications in drug development. The Intern will be involved in activities such as data preparation, graphical exploration of data, statistical model building and analyses, and statistical report writing.

Internship Project Summary

We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly motivated intern to support strategic analytics while working closely with members of a team. An ideal candidate would be hardworking, curious, and insights-driven.

  • Evaluation of optimal designs
  • Post hoc analyses from existing database to support study design
  • Preparation of statistical sampling plans
  • Participation in methodological development
  • Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management.

Education Requirements and Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Biostatistics.
  • Experience in statistical programming or data analysis is a plus.
  • Deadline-driven with an elevated level of organizational and planning skills
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills
  • Proven record of accomplishment of teamwork, adaptability, innovation, initiative, and integrity
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in at least one statistical software package such as SAS or R.
  • Must have experience in MS office and use of cloud-based applications
  • Quantitative research/analysis skills with coursework or project experience.

Physical Environment and Requirements

  • Ability to be able to work remotely and have reasonable infrastructure to access the internet
