Nature and Scope

We are seeking a professional, motivated law student for a summer legal internship position. The internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of legal practice while working alongside experienced attorneys and Legal Operations professionals. The internship program is focused on providing a law school student with a practical, pharmaceutical in-house legal experience, including assigned projects in areas such as corporate functions, U.S. manufacturing, and the support of human and animal health pharmaceutical products.

This internship program will require remote work 5 days per week, working 40 hours per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research into relevant legal questions and issues that impact the company. Draft memos or slide decks summarizing the research as needed.

  • Assist with contract review and drafting.

  • Provide litigation support as needed.

  • Attend and assist with preparation for meetings and negotiations.

  • Work collaboratively with the Legal Department colleagues and with other ARI colleagues.

  • Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management.

Education Requirements and Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Pursuing a legal degree from an accredited law school.

  • Must be detail-oriented, analytical, highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks.

  • Possess the ability to work independently, as well as on a team.

  • Proficient with legal research and have strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Professional, diplomatic, and able to be trusted with handling of attorney client privileged and sensitive information.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and use of cloud-based applications.

Expected Hourly Rate:

$23.00

The hourly rate rate displayed is theminimum and maximum hourly rate of compensation for the role that the employer in good faith believes to be accurate at the time of the posting of an advertisement for the role. Actual compensation for the role will be based on a number of different factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, knowledge, skills and experience.
