Responsible for overseeing the quality, innovation, development, and compliance of programs within the Community Living department. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness, scope, and continuous enhancement of services provided in Community Living and Day Support programs. The impact of this role extends beyond service delivery, directly influencing the organization's reputation, community perception, and the broader narrative surrounding individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. By maintaining high standards and fostering innovative approaches, this position strengthens the credibility and public image of VersAbility Resources while promoting inclusion and empowerment for those served. Primary Duties:
- Serve as the deputy to the VP for Community Living and provide direct management of all program areas.
- Oversee residential, center-based, and community-based programs to ensure compliance with Medicaid, ICFMR, and other regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate community living programs to align with organizational goals, compliance standards, and best practices.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centered services that promote independence, dignity, and inclusion for individuals served.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and support program managers and frontline staff to ensure effective service delivery.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance evaluations to foster staff growth, retention, and professional development.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and manage scheduling to optimize service efficiency and continuity.
- Interpret, implement, and ensure adherence to all state, federal, and funding agency regulations (e.g., Medicaid, licensing requirements, ICF, and Waiver policies).
- Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care, safety, and service quality.
- Manage program licensure, HUD inspections, and certification processes to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
- Develop and oversee program budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and efficient resource allocation.
- Secure funding through grants, contracts, and partnerships to support program sustainability and growth.
- Conduct program audits, implement quality assurance measures, and assess service effectiveness to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation, record-keeping, and reporting to meet compliance and operational requirements.
- Foster strong relationships with families, guardians, service providers, and community partners to enhance collaboration and support.
- Represent the organization in community meetings, coalitions, and stakeholder discussions to strengthen advocacy and outreach.
- Oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational needs of residential facilities to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Respond to emergencies, behavioral incidents, and crisis situations to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals served.
- Implement risk management strategies to minimize service disruptions and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Lead program growth initiatives and expansion efforts to enhance service offerings and reach more individuals in need.
- Conduct regular site visits across multiple locations to assess operations, provide support, and ensure program excellence.
- Respond to after-hours concerns and participate in an on-call rotation to address urgent issues as needed.
- Support community integration efforts and ensure compliance with Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Rights regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the organization's mission and operational success.
Qualifications/Skills Knowledge & Abilities: Education: Master's degree in human services, education, psychology or a related field required. Must be able to maintain CPR, crisis intervention certification, first aid and medication administration certifications on an ongoing basis. Experience: Minimum of five years of experience working with adults with intellectual and/ or developmental disabilities. Experience with interpreting and implementing regulations, designing, and implementing programs. Proven track record of managing multi-site programs, developing and managing budgets, and leading large teams and other equivalent experience that would enhance this position. Environmental:
- An office-based position with occasional travel to program sites and external meetings.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required, especially in response to program needs.

- CPR/First Aid; Crisis Intervention and Medication Administration
