Sr. Validation Engineer

AESC is looking to add a Senior Validation Engineer to our team in Smyrna, Tennessee.

As a key member of AESC US LLC, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission to lead in full-value-chain battery solutions for a sustainable future. Reporting to a Sr. Manager, you will lead the validation of Energy Storage System (ESS) battery products including cells, modules, packs and Racks to identify potential product quality issues. Your work within the [Reliability and Validation Center, RVC] will directly impact our strategic goals and contribute to our position as a global leader in battery technology.

• Lead validation of ESS products: lead the efforts of analyzing customer's validation requirements, translating them into detailed testing items, as well as generating validation reports based on testing results and finally communicating with customers.
• Collaborate on Product Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams in US and China to ensure the validation efforts are proceeded smoothly against project timeline, and the test failures are timely analyzed and solved by related teams including RD, process and failure analysis engineers.
• Drive Process Optimization: Implement and customize the developed process from RVC to the local work environment to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of overall validation business.
• Support operation of local testing lab: provide necessary to local battery testing labs including method development, test quality check as well as efficiency improvement.

• Proven Experience & Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in battery related majors, including but not limited to chemistry, materials, mathematics, reliability, chemical, electrical or mechanical engineering; Minimum of 3 years of RD experience in lithium-ion battery industry.
• Technical Proficiency: experienced skills for technical communication and documentation for internal and external customers

• Master's degree preferred
• Multilingual Skills: Proficiency in Chinese languages beyond English is advantageous, as it aligns with our global operations and enhances communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Cross-Cultural Experience: Previous experience working in cross-cultural environments, or a demonstrated understanding of cultural nuances would be beneficial, given our global presence and diverse team.

Occasional domestic and international travel required.
