PURPOSE
FormFactor has an exciting and interesting opportunity for a software development role working on Quaternion math-based analysis tools used in the design and manufacture of FormFactor's industry leading probe card products.You will become a member of a team devoted to developing design automation solutions for these products and will have ownership of a suite of applications developed using Matlab. This suite has a wide range of uses including supporting sales and marketing organizations, technical validation of design data and analysis and disposition of data generated as part of manufacturing processes.
You will also architect and develop new tools which are required frequently to support new product introductions and enhancements to manufacturing processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will develop, enhance and support quaternion mathematics-based tool suite used for the development, design, analysis and disposition of FormFactor probe card products.
Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall architecture, performance, quality, and release process of new and existing Matlab applications.

Responsible to provide technical support to end users of the Matlab application suite.

Work closely with internal customers to understand their needs and incorporate new requirements into the application suite.

Work closely with internal partners particularly Information Technology to integrate new solutions into production systems.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Master of Science in Computer Science or related with background in Mechanical Engineering. Alternatively Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with strong background in Computer Science.
- Expertise in developing software using Matlab is required.
- Knowledge of the Semiconductor Industry and manufacturing processes a big plus.
- Expertise in C++ and C# a big plus.
- Skill with MS Word, Excel, and other MS Office tools required.
- Good team and interpersonal skills.
- Good English communication skills.
The pay range for this role in Livermore, CA is between $90,500 and $118,755. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
