Sr Java/AWS Developer (Hybrid)

We are looking for a highly skilled senior developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Java, Spring boot, Microservices, and AWS cloud technologies. The responsibilities of this role include leadership tasks that cover different phases of the software development process. By ensuring robust and efficient system operations, the candidate will play a key role in advancing our company's mission.

Location: Wilmington, DE - USA.

The Onsite position must be at the office 3 days per week.

• Participate in different stages of Software development life cycle (SDLC) and collaborate in a fast-paced Agile setting.
• Design and develop software using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices.
• Hands on AWS experience in EKS, ECS, AWS Lambda, Terraform, AWS Aurora Postgres, AWS logging and monitoring using Datadog, AWS Security groups, AWS MSK(Kafka).
• Fix, debug, and upgrade software.
• Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues.
• Contributes to team delivery and collaborates with the team to complete tasks to high quality while actively learning new skills.

• BS/BA degree or an equivalent 8+ years of software development experience
• Proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, Invest API, Oracle, Kafka.
• Experienced with AWS cloud technologies (EKS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, RDS, terraform). AWS Developer or Solution Architect certification preferred.
• Experience in any of the rule's engine (Ex. Drools).
• Good to have experience in JPMC on-premises cloud (Gaia)
• Build and deployment tools like Jules and Jenkins
• Strong communication skills and experience in delivering projects in Scrum agile methodology.
• Strong Analytical skills and problem-solving.
• Being a self-starter, quick learner, detail oriented.

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337K - $141K depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
