GENERAL FUNCTION: Responsible for driving consistent execution and delivering planned sales production results, while mitigating risk, within Retail Banking for the regions across a market consisting of nine or more regions. Consistent execution will be driven in sales, customer experience and branch operations. Attracts, develops and retains high performing teams that will deliver on performance objectives, sales goals, and operational procedures, while following guidelines set by Bancorp to minimize variability. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drives and manages execution of strategic initiatives; creates a feedback loop to ensure the Regional Managers have the ability to identify improvements to feed back to the appropriate members of the Retail Team.
- Drives consistent execution practices with regional managers on the delivery of new and existing products, customer experience and branch procedures across the regions.
- Set expectations for achieving established goals and provide clarity on how they align to the Bancorp strategies.
- Proactively manage situations where established goals are not being met.
- Drives a high level of customer experience that creates memorable experiences for our customers and ensures regional managers are driving a consistent experience throughout the Market.
- Partners with all One Bank partners to ensure a seamless delivery of the One Bank model throughout the Market, while driving the same partnerships and approach through all levels within the Market.
- Proactively and regularly communicates clear messaging around priorities, strategic programs and initiatives to Regional Managers and ensures they are delivering a consistent message to their teams.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvements that will drive operational efficiencies and improve productivity and builds the skillset in leadership team.
- Creates a sustainable culture of engagement and collaboration that mitigates risk, promotes best practice sharing and builds a high performing team within the Market.
- Ensures regional manager team has the skillset and ability to lead their teams independently while aligning to Retail processes and procedures.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the employees in the division by providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback, developing employees to their fullest potential and providing challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth, developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning, andrecognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience, MBA preferred.
- Minimum of ten years of experience in leading large teams within the financial services industry, with proven sales experience, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of Retail Banking operations, products and sales management.
- Innovative thinker that can drive execution of strategic initiatives and change.
- Strong capability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proven leadership skills, initiative, attention to detail, analytical skills that lead to making informed and sound decisions.
- Ability to travel as needed
