NorthWest Arkansas Community College is seeking qualified applicants to establish a pool for part-time and/or substitute instructors in the Certified Retail Analyst (CRA) certification program. Preferred candidates for these positions must be seasoned/experienced retail industry professionals with at least 5 years of Walmart's Retail Link Decision Support, Luminate Report Builder or Scintilla experience.

Essential Duties

  • This retail industry program develops and prepares students to enter the retail industry as competent employees by teaching the fundamentals of retail analysis that lead to sales and market share growth. This program is well respected within the Walmart and Walmart supplier community.
  • Courses taught in this program includeMS Office, Adv. Excel & Access for Database Management, Retail Industry Foundations, Retail Link Data Management, Retail Supply Chain & Replenishment, Retail Tools Integration, Retail Strategic Analysis and Retail Analytical Techniques (capstone class).
  • These courses are aimed at individuals that work during the day and take classes in the evening. Classes are taught one night a week from 6:00pm - 9:00 pm online via MS Teams.

Application Review

  • Applications will be kept on file for the fiscal year ending June 30. When a position becomes available, the hiring department will review the applications on file. After each fiscal year end the application will expire and a new application must be completed to remain in the applicant pool.

  • Part-time positions are not an immediate hire. They are a resource for each department to go to for their immediate needs.

Rate of pay: determined by faculty scale placement (education and years of experience)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of the organization and administration of various higher education academic and social programs.
  • Knowledge of campus and community resources.
  • Knowledge of state, federal, and campus rules, regulations, and requirements related to campus academic and social programs.
  • Ability to coordinate the activities of campus academic and/or social programs.
  • Ability to evaluate collected information and formulate into recommendations.
  • Ability to compile information into report form.

The work environment typically consists of a professional office setting with a moderate noise level, including sounds from conversations, office equipment, and occasional movement of staff. Lighting is standard for office spaces, and the temperature is controlled to remain within a comfortable range. Employees may occasionally need to visit other areas, such as storage rooms, conference spaces, or outdoor locations, where environmental conditions may vary. Infrequently, exposure to louder noise levels or physical activities, such as moving lightweight materials, might be required.

Required Education/Experience

  • Preferred candidates for these positions must be seasoned/experienced retail industry professionals from the Walmart CPG/supplier community, Walmart, Sam's Club, or 3rd party providers.A bachelor's degree is desired, but not a requirement.A minimum of 5 years with Walmart's Retail Link Decision Support, Luminate Report Builder or Scintilla experience and retail industry experience is required.
  • Depending on the opening or class, additional extensive experience utilizing one or more of the following applications may also be desired: Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Tableau, Power BI, Power Query and Power Pivot.
