Auria is looking to hire System Engineers (multiple levels, multiple teams) to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. Work location is in either Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL.
As a Systems Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our current projects, working in an integrated team environment with other systems and specialty engineers to develop solutions. You will perform under the direction of the C2BMC Systems Engineering Manager and Product Owner, the Core Systems Engineering team lead, and support various project engineers as well as interface with team members, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high-quality products are generated on time and within the resources available.
Essential Functions:
- Perform requirements elicitation using behavioral artifacts such as use cases that are used both to understand and convey an understanding of the required behaviors and performance of the system
- Support the development and review of interface documents, system requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, architectural documentation, engineering estimates, and author and perform formal and informal engineering reviews
- Must be flexible and support various tasks on short notice
- Adhering to DOORS processes and procedures, reviewing the content and details of technical products, and acting as a technical interface to MDA working-level counterparts as required
- Will be actively involved in the efforts associated with Agile development, including iteration planning, status, and supporting Agile team leadership.
- Must have demonstrated contributions to implementation that include the ability to analyze high-level needs and define a structured and logical approach to refine the capability into an integrated set of requirements that have led to a fielded product
- Must have demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively, clearly present technical approaches and findings, and have experience writing and implementing project engineering plans
Basic Qualifications:
Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.
- Current/active in-scope DoD issued SECRET security clearance
- At minimum, a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience,
- or a Master's degree and 3 years of experience,
- or a PhD and 1 years of experience,
- or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
- Must possess an understanding of systems engineering processes and principles
- Must have a proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions
- Must have experience in requirements elicitation, including using behavior diagrams as an analysis tool to understand and decompose requirements
- Must have experience developing system engineering artifacts:
- Specifications
- Interface Control Documents
- Use Cases
- System Architecture Descriptions
- Trade Studies, etc.
- Must have experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software, and specialty engineers to develop solutions
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, as is the ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings
- Able to write and implement engineering plans within a project
- Must have experience working within an Agile development environment, experience with Systems Analysis, Metric Development, and Architecture development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current and active Top Secret clearance is highly desired
- Master's degree in a related STEM discipline and 3 years of related work experience is highly preferred
- Certification: INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certification
- Certification: Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional - Model Builder Fundamental(OCSMP - MBF)
- Missile Defense System prior experience and familiarity are desired
- Experience with complex Command and Control Systems is desired
Salary Range: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level ($95,000 - $140,000).
