Role and Responsibilities:


We're looking for a Custodial Operator to oversee our dedicated janitorial team, which includes adults with disabilities. If you're a dynamic leader with a passion for empowering others and ensuring a clean, welcoming environment, we'd love to hear from you!



  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employees, officials, and the public through exceptional service.

  • Provide training on proper equipment and chemical use to ensure team members are well-prepared for their roles.

  • Manage the opening and closing of facilities, including security responsibilities like locking and unlocking the premises as needed.

  • Keep detailed records of work completed, manage attendance, and oversee payroll to ensure smooth operations.

  • Design workflow charts, set short- and long-term goals, and monitor the progress of projects to meet organizational objectives.

  • Regularly inspect work in progress and completed tasks to ensure quality standards are met.

  • Report building maintenance needs and oversee necessary repairs.

  • Manage inventory of cleaning tools, equipment, and supplies, preparing requisitions when necessary.

  • Develop and manage work schedules to ensure all maintenance and cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and on time.


Qualifications:



  • Previous experience in custodial or janitorial services, including supervisory or leadership roles.

  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster a positive, inclusive team environment.

  • Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion.

  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols, especially concerning chemicals, equipment, and handling cleaning supplies.

  • Must have a valid driver's license


Preferred Skills:



  • Certification in custodial or facilities management.

  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.

  • Ability to assess and solve problems proactively.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Proficiency in basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, scheduling software, payroll systems).

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.


Physical & Environmental Demands:



  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to climb ladders and use cleaning equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and floor scrubbers.

  • May be exposed to cleaning chemicals and other hazardous materials; proper use of safety equipment is required.

  • Work in various environments, including office buildings, restrooms, and outdoor areas.

  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions, depending on the location and weather.

  • Reasonable accommodations can be provided.
